NAMIBIA - Travel plan
Namibia is a big country, but the most part is desert and the population is only 1.8 million.
The richness of the country come mainly from many precious minerals, as diamonds, uranium, copper, zinc, silver, lead and tin.
The country was discovered by tourism only in the last years: but if Namibia is not a touristic place, the Gouvernment camp sites and parks are well trained.
From the Tourist Office of Windoeck it's possible booking many services and the web site of the Gouvernment give many infos.
The best way to visit Namibia is to rent a 4x4 pick up or car and drive around the country: there's a good system of tarred roads, but it's very important driving slowly and stopping after the sunset.
This solution is quite expensive because of the cost of the car and the fuel, so travelling in Namibia is not cheap at all.
The dry season from May to October is the best time to visit Namibia.
